28 May 2019

It's been seven years in a row since the first selection in 2013.

‘Small Giants’ is small but highly competitive enterprises with good working conditions. The Ministry of Employment and Labor selects and announces excellent companies every year to provide information of the best small and medium enterprises to young people preparing for employment.

The government first established the system in the second half of 2012 and selected small and medium enterprises in April 2013. The purpose of selecting and announcing it every year is to provide excellent small and medium enterprises information to young people preparing for employment.

Small Giants are selected by the recommendation from central government, municipal government, and private institutions. Companies are scrutinized, and only those which are qualified can survive the exclusion process and are announced as Small Giants.

In 2019, 14,127 companies were selected. This is about 1% of 1.3 million companies based on Nice Assessment Information. From 25,900 in 2018 to 14,127 this year, there is a decrease of about 46%.

The selection criteria for Small Giants are as follows:

Companies with no back pay and high employment retention rates (no personnel cuts should be made)

Companies with credit rating ratings above B- (black management, business feasibility above average),

Companies with 10 or more employees and those with low industrial accident rates (no industrial accidents should occur)

It is more meaningful that we were qualified as Small Giants again this year, when domestic and foreign economies are in a difficult situation. We will continue to work hard to become a company that is stronger and more competitive.
